Needs more thinking before I can /sign. Maybe there should be a timer, and when it runs out whoever does more damage wins?

Cue terratanks

Seriously, I wouldn't waste time thinking about this. It obviously doesn't fit in GW.

Only way this could work is if all participants were forced into using premade "balanced" skill sets, so that it was a battle of skill rather then griefing. However, even then its a waste of a concept. and a bigger waste of anets time!

Oh, hey, that's true.

On second thoughts, I'll /sign this to get the griefers and idiots out.

I definetly feel they should have the option, but as stated before, no rewards since it is not balanced for it. I would love to have an area where I could go to duel 1on1 with lots of other people looking to 1v1. Scrimage just is not quick enough for me, or organized enough. There are plenty of ways to make it work out. I personally do not like how people refer to Hero Battles as 1v1...

Oh my...
What about all random skills given to each participate at the start of each match? That would be fun and random...teehee

The arenas are already biased upon what people expect you to use as it is. Having a 1v1 arena that people would bias skill sets is no different where all people do in HA is spike and spam mostly, or use the same builds over and over. I hate how you cannot go into anywhere but RA and play the build you actually want to use, because no one wants to give it a chance because it is not off wiki or widly abused...

Personally I think they should make a Random HA mode, for people who do not wish to do the same thing over and over. I understand that people naturally want to exploit things to win to make them selves feel better, but give it a rest.

The only way it could really work is to have a punch out arena. Everyone has the same skills. You can get up when knocked down rather than be killed and rezzed. It'd be fun but not serious enough for PvPers. There's way too much chest-beating going on in most PvP arenas for a fun one to survive.

I hadn't realised there was a 1v1 arena. When was that?

Before release.
Gladiators' Arena.
It was planned, but Guild Wars IS a Team Game after all.

sure. and i will be using grenth's balance. kthx.

and to counter those using grenth's balance, I will use a 55 monk.

have you ever stopped to think how imbalanced 1v1 would be?

Maybe because 1 vs 1 is stupid?

The advantage certain builds would have would make this into a total failure :/

The game just isn't balanced for 1v1, that's why there's only TvT arenas.

I do like the idea of a brawling arena though..Only being able to use the brawling skills =D
